Daraa in six months: Attacks and assassination attempts rise as security chaos continues

Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
Unidentified gunmen attacked a checkpoint of the “Air Force Intelligence” services in Al-Karak al-Sharqi area eastern rural Daraa.

The attack carried out by machine-gun yesterday evening, also a grenade was thrown at the checkpoint, without reported any casualties so far.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory reported that unknown persons have burned the municipality building of Mesika town in al-Lajat area east of Daraa, after taking the picture of “Bashar al-Assad” off the building and writing anti-regime and Iranian militias graffiti on its walls.

Meanwhile graffiti on walls of houses, schools and public facilities in the eastern countryside of Daraa, that was written by residents of the area, calls for the release of detainees from the regime security services prisons and the cessation of shelling on Idlib.

The number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from June to date, raises to more than 234 persons.

While the number of those killed in the same period reached 163 persons: 25 civilians, including three women and two children, in addition to 86 members of regime forces and loyalists gunmen and collaborators with the regime security forces, 29 fighters of opposition factions who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime, and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 16 members of Syrian militias affiliated with Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to six of the so-called “Fifth Corps” established by Russia.
