Unknown gunman assassinates a civilian in Al-Bab city
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored a new assassination that targeted the Mukhtar of the second sector of the Turkish-controlled city of Al-Bab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
According to SOHR source; the assassinated civilian was found dead in his house after hearing sound of gunfire. The perpetrator managed to escape.
On January 3, SOHR documented the death of a commander in the Turkish-backed factions of the “National Army”, affected by the injury he had yesterday. The commander was targeted by an IED that went off in his vehicle in Jarabulus city north-east of Aleppo.
Separately, SOHR sources have reported hearing a loud explosion this morning, in Al-Bab city which is under control of the Turkish forces and their Syrian proxies.
According to SOHR sources; the explosion was caused by an IED planted in one of the eastern neighborhoods of Al-Bab city, without documenting any casualties.
