Cautious calm prevails in the area of “Putin-Erdogan” after yesterday’s gross death toll

SOHR monitored a cautious calm prevailing the area of “Putin-Erdogan” since after midnight Sunday – Monday until the moment with deteriorating weather conditions and heavy rains in the area which prevented warplanes to carry out new raids.

However, exchange of fire with missiles and heavy machine guns are taking place on the frontlines in eastern and southeastern rural Idlib, between regime forces and loyalists on one side, opposition factions and jihadist groups on the other, with cessation of regime and Russia air strikes on the area since yesterday evening.

The death toll in Ariha city increased to 13, including one woman and three children, as a result of regime’s warplanes targeting residential neighborhoods, a school, a mosque and a kindergarten in the city on Sunday.
