Opposition factions and Jihadist groups advance east of Idlib as today’s death toll reaches 30 members on both sides

Violent clashes continue between opposition factions and jihadist groups on one side, regime forces and loyalists on the other side, clashes are taking place on frontlines of eastern rural Idlib, as part of the ongoing attack by opposition factions on the frontlines of al-Madmumeh, Samakeh, Persa and Farwan since Wednesday morning.

SOHR learned that opposition factions and jihadists were able to advance in the area and recaptured the villages of Samakeh, Perseh and Madamumeh, with intensive ground strikes between the two sides, in addition to targeting regime forces vehicles.

Causalities were reported on both sides of the fighting, SOHR documented the killing of 19 members of regime forces and loyalists, and 12 fighters of factions, including eight jihadists, while these clashes coinciding with the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Turkey, and after his visit yesterday to Syria and his meeting with Bashar al-Assad and described the situation in Syria as very good.

The Syrian Observatory reported that regime forces targeted with rocket-propelled grenades and artillery Maarat al-Numan city in southern rural Idlib, where the last medical point in the city was directly targeted and put out of service.
