Iran-supported militias move their heavy weapons from al-Bokamal neighborhoods, spread in the green belt area

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights today monitored the transfer of heavy weapons and armored vehicles from several headquarters of Iran-supported militias and the Lebanese Hezbollah, in al-Jam’eyyat neighborhood of al-Bokamal city, to new locations and headquarters in the green belt area surrounding al-Bokamal city, this came as part of their anticipation and taking precautions against the possible American strikes, following the killing of Qassim Soleimani, the commander of the Iranian al-Quds Corps.

The Syrian Observatory had monitored the change of positions of the Iranian-loyal militias, and their move to new places near Euphrates riverbank in Deir Ezzor countryside.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored on the 6th of January 2019 that the Iran-backed militias have evacuated their headquarters in al-Bokamal city, in anticipation of the shelling that positions of the Iranian-loyal militia are under in Syria, sources told the Syrian Observatory that the Iranian-backed militias are spreading in the orchards on Euphrates banks, while they kept guarding members in their headquarters.
