Relative calm prevails on the frontlines of east Idlib

Frontline areas in the eastern countryside of Idlib witnessed exchange of fire with shells and heavy machineguns after yesterday midnight, between factions and jihadi groups against regime soldiers and loyalists, after yesterday’s fierce clashes between both parties during which 45 fighters and soldiers were killed.

Other than that, cautious calm has been prevailing since midnight, amid normal cessation of aerial operation.

SOHR reported yesterday that regime forces shelled Bdama town, Maraand village and the vicinity of Al-Najiyah in the western countryside of Idlib, and IKARDA area in the southern countryside of Aleppo. Other than that, cautious calm is prevailing the entire area of “Putin – Erdogan” along with cessation of aerial operations because of the bad weather and heavy rain.
