Eight warplanes and helicopters hit Ma’rat al-Numan area and “M5” highway

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored an extensive over flights of the Syrian regime warplanes and helicopters, a squadron consisting of eight aircraft.

The recent escalation of air strikes is contrary to what the Russian Defense Ministry announced yesterday about the ceasefire in Idlib.

Regime helicopters dropped barrel bombs on Ma’rat al-Numan city, Babila, Hantutin and Binin, amid ongoing attacks by regime warplanes on Ma’rat al-Numan area and Damascus-Aleppo international highway.

Hours ago, SOHR reported that regime forces carried out a rocket attack, on Friday morning, during which they targeted areas in Ma’rat al-Numan city and villages of Maar Shamasheh, Talmanas, Masaran, Maar shorin, Al Deir-Al Sharqi and Al Deir Gharbi in rural Ma’rat al-Numan city, in a new violation of the recent ceasefire agreement in Idlib region in northwestern Syria, which announced by the Russian Defense Ministry under an agreement reached with Turkey, which entered into force at 14:00 Syria time on Thursday.
