Regime aircraft steps up aerial operations on rural Idlib

Regime warplanes executed several air strikes on places in Maarrat Al-Nu’man and its vicinity, Mardikh, Kafr Batikh, Khan Al-Sabil and other areas in Jabal Al-Zawiya south of Aleppo.

Also helicopters dropped several barrel bombs on Maarrat Al-Nu’man, Tal Mannas, Khan Al-Sabil and Jabal Al-Arba’in.

Meanwhile, opposition factions fired a guided missile on one of the regime positions in Al-Sarraf area in Jabal Al-Turkman north of Latakia, leaving casualties in the ranks of regime forces. SOHR activists documented the killing of two regime soldiers and the injury of four others due to this targeting.

With the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 1,440, the number of people who were killed since the last agreement of “Putin – Erdogan” on the 31st of August 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until today, and they are: 343 civilians including 93 children and 67 citizen women, and they are 141 including 43 children and 24 women were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 21 including three women and seven children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 76 including ten children 15 women were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 91 people including 23 women and 28 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 14 citizens including five children and two women were killed in shelling by the factions on regime forces’-controlled areas in Aleppo and its countryside and the countryside of Hama, while at least 519 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 375 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 578 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

It rose to at least 5,541, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until today, and they are: 1,388 civilians including 353 children and 253 citizen women, and they are 367 including 87 children and 67 women, and nine of the civil defense and six of the ambulance team were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 109 including 22 women and 22 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 614 including 165 children, 105 women, and five members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 205 people including 43 women and 48 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 94 citizens including 31 children and 16 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, Qamhana, Al-Rasif, Al-Aziziyah, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairab Camp, neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, while at least 2,184 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 1,462 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 1,969 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

During the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today; the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 6,067 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 1,671 civilians including 434 children under the age of eighteen and 317 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 120 people including 34 children under the age of eighteen and 20 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 2,270 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1,494 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 2,126 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 6,299 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 1,754 civilians including 463 children and 331 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 121 people including 34 children and 21 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 2,337 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1,598 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 2,208 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
