More than 20 members defect from the Iranian-backed “Liwaa Al-Quds” and IRGC distribute a book glorifying “Soleimani”

Reliable sources informed the Syrian observatory for Human Rights that more than 20 Syrian fighters who are from Al-Mayadin, have defected from “Liwaa Al-Quds”. This action comes after they were sent to Al-Badia which is attacked repeatedly by ISIS, and for fear of being targeted by the U.S.

As a response to the Iranian militias’ shrinking popularity and the defections in their ranks, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) distributed a book glorifies the Iranian Liwaa Al-Quds’s commander “Qasim Soleimani” who was assassinated by the U.S. a week ago.

IRGC distributed the book to the Iranian-backed local members in Al-Mayadin city.

Activists told SOHR that the book includes the life of Soleimani and positions he has held since he joined the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps, until he became the commander of the IRGC-affiliated “Liwaa Al-Quds” and of the Iranian militias that are deployed in several countries.

The book also includes quotes and speeches of “Soleimani”.
