Jihadist groups, opposition factions launch a counter-attack on regime forces positions east of Saraqeb

The Syrian Observatory reported that opposition factions and jihadist groups carried out a counter-attack on areas that regime forces advanced to during the past hours in eastern rural Idlib. With stoppage of airstrikes by regime and Russian warplanes due to bad weather conditions, on Wednesday afternoon.

Sources in the area informed SOHR that opposition factions and jihadists were able to recaptured Abu Jreif village while violent clashes continued between the two sides.

The Syrian Observatory documented further casualties on both sides, the death toll of regime forces and loyalists rose to 28 since yesterday evening, while 24 fighters of factions were killed by air and ground bombardments and clashes, including 20 jihadists.
