ISIS family members handed over to Norway in north east Syria
Deportation of ISIS families, mainly women and children, continues via representatives of their states’ authorities, who come to Syria to get their citizens back.
Activists confirmed to SOHR that the “Autonomous Administration” in Al-Qamishly city, handed over a Norwegian woman and her two children to a delegation of Norway’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the 14th of January 2020.
On December 22, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights sources reported that the “Autonomous Administration” in north and north-east Syria has repatriated two Finnish child orphans to their state.
It is noteworthy that the two children are of families of ISIS members.
On October 2, SOHR reported that the Autonomous Administration in the north-east of Syria has handed over two child siblings of the Austrian nationality of the families of ISIS members, to representatives of their state’s government. It took place at Smilka crossing in the area of Al-Malikiyah / Dayrik north-east of Al-Hasakah which connects between Syria and Iraq, in the presence of a delegation of Austria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officials in the “Autonomous Administration”. A conference has been held between the two sides there
