Uneasy calm returns to rural Ma’rat al-Numan’s frontlines, after heavy death toll of regime forces and rebel

The Syrian Observatory sources reported that uneasy calm returned to frontlines in rural Ma’rat al-Numan, after violent clashes lasted for a few hours, between opposition factions and jihadist groups on one side, and regime forces and loyalists on the other, on frontlines in south-eastern rural Idlib.

Sources informed SOHR that opposition factions and jihadists were able to advance and captured Abu Dafneh village as part of the attack they launched this afternoon, however, the takeover did not last long as regime forces were able to regain control of the village with an intensive fire.

While Russian jets carried out raids on the frontlines after the last stoppage of airstrikes since yesterday afternoon.
The Syrian Observatory documented further casualties between the two sides during the battles after midnight and this afternoon, the death toll of regime forces and loyalists rose to 28, while the death toll of opposition fighters rose to 19, including 15 jihadists.

The number of people killed since the last “Putin-Erdogan” agreement on August 31 to date, rose to 1674, 404 of whom are civilians, including 109 children and 73 women killed by regime and Russian jets, in addition to ground bombardments and targets.

148 persons, including 47 children and 25 women were killed in Russian air strikes on Idlib and Hama countryside, 21 persons, including three women and seven children were killed in barrel bombs by helicopters.

117 persons, including 21 children and 19 women were killed in the targeting of regime jets.

92 people, including 23 women and 28 children were killed in ground shelling by the regime, 26 civilians, including six children and three women were killed by opposition factions shelling on regime-held areas In Aleppo city and its countryside and Hama countryside, in the same period, at least 605 opposition fighters were killed by regime and Russians aerial and ground strikes and in clashes , including 445 jihadists, in addition to 655 members of regime forces and loyalists were killed in targeting, bombing, explosions and clashes with jihadist groups and factions.

The death toll since the start of the most violent escalation in the “de-escalation” zone on April 30 to date, raised to 5775 persons, of whom 1449 are civilians, and 369 children and 259 women were killed by regime and Russian jets, in addition to bombardment and ground targets.
374 persons, including 91 children, 68 women, nine civil defense and six of the emergency service by Russian air strikes in both Idlib and Hama countryside, 109, including 22 women and 22 children were killed in barrel bombs by helicopters, 655 persons including 176 children, 109 women and six members of the rescue teams were killed also in targeting by regime jets.

206 people, including 43 women and 48 children were killed in ground bombardments carried out by regime forces, 106 civilians, including 32 children and 17 women were killed by opposition factions shelling on Saqalbya, Qamhanah, Al-Rasif, Aziziya, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairb camp and other neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, In the same period, at least 2270 fighters were killed by regime and Russian air and ground strikes and clashes, including 1532 of jihadists, in addition to 2056 of regime forces and loyalists killed in targets, bombings, explosions and clashes with jihadist groups and opposition factions.

During the period between the 15th of February 2019, the date of “Ruhani – Erdogan – Putin” metting until today, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 6301 people in Russian –Turkish truce areas, 1732 civilians, including 450 children and 323 women were killed by Russian air strikes and rocket fire by regime forces and opposition factions.

Among the death toll of civilians there is 132 people including 35 children and 21 women were killed in shell launched by opposition factions on regime-held areas, and 2356 fighters were killed in different circumstances within the demilitarized zone since recent Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1564 fighters of “Jihadist” and 2213 of regime forces and loyalists.

SOHR also reported since the start of Russian – Turkish truce, the death of 6535 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, 1815 civilians including 477 children and 337 women were killed in shelling, targeting and bombardment by regime warplanes and loyalists, among causalities there were 133 people, including 35 children and 22 women who killed in shelling launched by opposition factions.

2423 fighters were killed in different circumstances within the demilitarized zone since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1668 of “Jihadist”, 2297 members of regime forces and loyalists.
