Russia hides its crimes against Syrians civilians by releasing false statistics underestimating regime losses in eight days

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights can confirm that the information circulated by Russia and regime’s official news agency about violent attacks carried out by opposition factions on regime forces positions in southern, eastern and south-eastern rural Idlib during the past 24 hours is baseless.

The accurate picture is that dozens of cities, towns and villages in both rural Aleppo and Idlib were targeted yesterday by dozens of jets and helicopters with nearly 400 airstrikes and barrel-bombs.

The map of control has not changed at all since the second day of the recent escalation, opposition factions and jihadist groups were able to capture Tal Mustaif village, which regime forces captured a year and a half ago, in addition to regaining control of Um Jreif village and Tal Khatra, east of Saraqeb town, and south of Ma’rat al-Numan.

According to the Russian statistics on regime losses in the “de-escalation zone”, which stop at 40 dead, the Syrian Observatory can confirm that the real figure reached nearly 119 dead in eight days, almost three times higher than the Russian figure.

Russia seems to be seeking, through the information and statistics that have been circulated, to hide the crimes committed by its jets along with regime jets by killing 73 civilians in Aleppo and Idlib, including 32 children since Wednesday 15th of this month, in addition to force some 80,000 civilians to displace during the same period from areas in western rural Aleppo.
