120 airstrikes pound the “de-escalation” zone as clashes continue on several frontlines in Aleppo and Idlib

Fierce clashes are underway in several frontline areas in Aleppo and Idlib, between the regime soldiers and loyalists on one hand, and rebel and jihadi factions on the other. The factions have been repelling a fierce attack started hours ago by the regime forces, in Al-Leiramon, Ikthar, Al-Bizar and Manyan in the west of Aleppo. The clashes coincide with intensive aerial and ground bombardment on Al-Rashideen, the area of the scientific research center, Al-Mansurah and Khan Al-Asal, west of Aleppo.

In connection to this, the factions thwarted the regime forces’ attack on Ba’rabu village in the southern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile, clashes are underway in the south-east of Maarrat Al-Nu’man after taking control of Deir Sharqi and Deir Gharbi towns.

Furthermore, the regime forces are trying to advance into the area of Abu Juraif farms after capturing large spaces of Al-Samakah village in the eastern countryside of Maarrat Al-Nu’man. They are now at 4 km away from Maarrat Al-Nu’man and at the outskirts of the Turkish observation post in Maar Hattat.

The clashes and factions’ shelling on positions of the regime forces in Al-Tah town left seven regime soldiers dead. Also 16 jihadists were killed the clashes between both parties and regime intensive bombardment.

Separately, aerial operations still affect several areas of Aleppo and Idlib countryside in the tenth consecutive day of the new military escalation on “Putin – Erdogan” area.

Regime helicopters dropped several barrel bombs on areas in Aleppo countryside bringing the number of barrel bombs dropped today by helicopters to 38, targeting places in Ihssim, Ma’arat al-Numan, Hantotin, Deir Sunbol, Hass, Talmanes, Ma’ar Shorin, al-Ghadfeh and Kafr Rouma in rural Idlib, Tall Shoihneh and Khan Toman, north-west and south of Aleppo.

Also the number of today’s Russian airstrikes rose to 46, targeting places in Hass, Ma’ardabsa, Abu Jreif, Khan al-Subul, Serja, Telmens and Hantotin in rural Idlib, the vicinity of the 46th regiment, Ma’arat al-Artiq, al-Mansoura, al-Rashidin, Icarda, Kafr Naha, Khan al-Asal, Um Atabeh and Anadan in Aleppo.

Meanwhile, regime jets executed 36 raids targeting Saraqeb, Ma’rat al-Numan, Benin, Serja, the outskirt of Saraqeb and Damascus-Aleppo International highway.
