SOHR activists documented the killing of a member of the Civil Defense and the injury of four others. They were targeted by heavy machineguns of regime jets while trying to hospitalize people injured in aerial bombardment on Serjeh town in the southern countryside of Idlib.
Separately, fierce battles have been still continuing in Kafruma, near Maarrat Al-Nu’man city, between opposition factions and jihadi groups on one hand, and regime soldiers and loyalists on the other. The regime forces unleashed their attack under a cover of intense aerial and ground firepower but failed so far to impose a full siege over Maarrat Al-Nu’man.
Also fierce clashes are underway between both parties in several areas in Aleppo western neighborhoods and the southern countryside of Aleppo, accompanied by aerial and ground bombardment by Russian and regime forces.
Syrian Observatory activists have documented more casualties in both warring forces since the ground offensive began on Friday evening. 98 jihadis among 121 opposition fighters were killed so far, in addition to the killing of 109 regime soldiers and loyalists.
