Security chaos continues in Daraa, raising the number of attacks and assassination attempts to 270 in less than 7 months

Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Security chaos in Daraa governorate continues through attacks, targets and assassinations throughout the region. Syrian Observatory sources report that unknown gunmen attacked a group of the “fourth division” within the regime forces in the town of Saham al-Golan in western countryside of Daraa. No casualities were reported to date.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 270 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period increases to 179 persons, 29 of whom are civilians, including four women and two children, in addition to 96 members of regime forces and loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.
31 members of opposition faction who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime, and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 16 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to six members of so-called “Fifth Corps” established by Russia.
