Regime forces advance into south and south-west of Aleppo city amid attempts to advance further into rural Idlib

Fierce clashes are underway between opposition factions and jihadi groups on one hand, and regime soldiers and loyalists on the other, in frontline areas in both Aleppo and Idlib countryside.

In Aleppo, clashes are concentrated on the frontlines of Khan Tuman and Khalseh in the south of the city, and Al-Rashideen, Tal Al-Handasah, Al-Sahafiyeen and Al-Mansurah in the city’s western parts.

Reliable sources informed the Syrian observatory that the regime forces captured warehouses of Khan Tuman, Tal Al-Zaytun and Al-Rashideen fifth sector, with intensive air and ground support.

Meanwhile, battles in Idlib are concentrated in the areas of Tal Debes, Khan Al-Sabil, Hass and Deir Sonbol in the eastern and south-eastern countryside of Idlib, as regime forces are trying to advance deeper into the area under a cover of aerial and ground firepower.

The regime took control of Al-Harrada village, north of Maarrat Al-Nu’man.

Since Friday evening, the regime forces have imposed their control over 26 villages and towns: Telmans, Ma’ar Shmasha, Deir Sharqi, Deir Al-Gharbi, Ma’ar Shmarin, Ma’rata, Al-Ghadfa, Ma’ar Shourin Al-Za’alana, Al-Dana, Tal Sheikh, Sawami’e, Khirbet Mezyan, Masaran, Bsida, Taqana, Babolin, Kafr Bassin, Marhatat, Hamidia, Dar Al-Salaam, Salhia, Kafruma, Maarrat Al-Nu’man city, Wadi Al-Daif, Hantutin and Al-Harrada).
