Russian jets destroy a hospital in Ariha and over 140 airstrikes target the “de-escalation” zone
Russian jets executed three raids targeting Al-Shami Surgical Hospital in Ariha city which destroyed the hospital and put it out of service. The targeting also injured a number individuals within the medical staff one of whom is in critical condition.
On the other hand, today’s Russian airstrikes on the “de-escalation” zone rose to 96 targeting Bsaqla, Hass, Kafr Nubl, Kafr Latah and the southern countryside of Aleppo.
Also the number of airstrikes by regime jets rose to 33 targeting Kafr Amim, Mardebseh, Khan al-Sobol, and areas in Jabal al-Zawiya.
Meanwhile, regime helicopters dropped 14 barrel bombs on Kafr Amim and the southern countryside of Aleppo.
Syrian Observatory activists documented a spike in the death toll after the Russian airstrikes on Kafrlateh village today to 10 civilians including a child. Nearly 20 others including women and children were injured.
Observatory activists also documented the death of a citizen in bombing by regime’s warplanes on the vicinity of Saraqib town.
Meanwhile, violent clashes are still underway in both countryside of Aleppo and Idlib. Regime forces are trying to advance into Saraqib city after capturing the towns of Mardebseh and Khan al-Sobol in the southern countryside of Idlib.
In Aleppo, the town of Khan Tuman is witnessing fierce clashes between the regime forces and opposition factions. The regime forces managed to capture 5 areas: Khan Tuman warehouses, Tal al-Zeitoun, the 5th al-Rashedin, Masaken al-Sehafiyyen, and Marata).
In Idlib, the regime forces took control of Khan al-Sobol town, Mardebseh, al-Qhriyyeh, Jaradah, and Rowayha, approaching to less than seven km away from the strategic town of Saraqeb.
Since Friday evening, the regime forces have imposed their control over 31 villages and towns: Telmans, Ma’ar Shmasha, Deir Sharqi, Deir Al-Gharbi, Ma’ar Shmarin, Ma’rata, Al-Ghadfa, Ma’ar Shourin Al-Za’alana, Al-Dana, Tal Sheikh, Sawami’e, Khirbet Mezyan, Masaran, Bsida, Taqana, Babolin, Kafr Bassin, Marhatat, Hamidia, Dar Al-Salaam, Salhia, Kafruma, Maarrat Al-Nu’man city, Wadi Al-Daif, Hantutin, Al-Jarrada, Al-Ruwayha and Al-Qahiryah, Khan al-Sobol town, Mardebseh).
Observatory activists also documented gross human losses in the ranks of both warring forces who have been killed in bombardment and fierce clashes since the evening of the 24th of January 2020. 140 jihadis among 179 opposition fighters were killed so far, in addition to the killing of 163 regime soldiers and loyalists.
