Three separated attacks in east Daraa countryside amid continuous security chaos

Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Syrian Observatory sources report new incidents as security chaos continues in Daraa governorate. In al-Karak al-Sharqi, unidentified gunmen targeted a regime “Airforce Inteligence” checkpoint at the outskirts of the town, no casualties were reported.

Similarly, unknown assailants tried to assassinate a “Military Security” member, targeting him with an IED, but the attempt failed. In Al-Gharia al-Sharqiya town in rural Daraa, unknown assailants opened fire on the house of head of the village, no casualties were reported to date.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 276 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period increases to 179 persons, 29 of whom are civilians, including four women and two children, in addition to 96 members of regime forces and loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

31 members of opposition faction who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime, and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 16 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to six members of so-called “Fifth Corps” established by Russia.
