Car-bomb explodes and violent clashes erupt in Aleppo countryside as regime forces control four new villages in rural Maarrat al-Nu’man

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored today new progress by the regime forces in Idlib countryside, where they controlled Kafr Mazdeh, Jabbala, Muqah and al-Amoudiyyeh west of the international highway of Aleppo – Damascus near Maarrat al-Nu’man city.
Rising to 45, the number of areas that have been controlled by the regime forces in Idlib since the evening of Friday, the 24th of January 2020.
The Syrian Observatory also monitored the explosion of a booby-trapped car near one of the buildings where the regime forces are holed up in at al-Sehafiyyen area in Aleppo countryside, while the violent clashes are still taking between the regime forces and the militias loyal to Iran, and between the rebel and Jihadi factions, in areas at the southern and western countryside of Aleppo.
In the meantime, the factions were able to destroy and disable armored vehicles of the regime forces in the cartoon factory area, they also destroyed an anti-armor base on the 5th Rashedin area in the western countryside of Aleppo.
The Syrian Observatory monitored today that the regime forces advanced in al-Qarasi and al-Qal’ajiyyeh areas south of Aleppo city, while Russian warplanes bombed al-Kubra town and around Orem al-Kubra in Aleppo countryside.
Increasing the number of Russian airstrikes to 20 targeted Saraqib and its surroundings in Idlib countryside and various areas of Aleppo countryside.
The number of barrel bombs dropped by helicopters on Saraqib and around it and the vicinity of Tal Mardikh also increased to 12.
