Ordered by Turkey, “Euphrates Shield” factions begin the battle of east Aleppo gate, lowering Russian flag after capturing one of the points
Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Syrian Observatory sources report, on Saturday morning, that a violent attack carried out by Ankara-backed factions on regime forces and loyalists positions in rural Al-Bab city in northeastern rural Aleppo countryside.
Violent clashes took place between the two sides on the frontlines of al-Dgalbash and Radar al-Sha’ala, as part of the battle of “Al-Azm al-Mutawaqid” launched this morning by the “National Army” factions by Turkish orders.
Activists told SOHR that Turkish-backed factions were able to make advance and control points in the area, and at least one regime soldier was taken prisoner, while fighters lowered the Russian flag from the roof of one of the buildings.
Clashes were accompanied by intensive exchange of shelling between the two sides. Confirmed casualties were reported.
