Turkish-backed factions capture three villages west of Al-Bab city and fighters send strong message by trampling on the Russian flag

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: fierce clashes are still continuing in several areas in both western and south-western countryside of Aleppo, between regime forces and Turkish-backed factions.

The clashes followed an attack launched by the Turkish-backed factions this morning as a part of “Al-Azm Al-Mutawqid” Battle (Rekindled Resolve Battle in English).

SOHR sources reported that the factions advanced in the area bringing the villages of Al-Sha’alah, Tal Al-Rahal and Kharbasha under their control, along with capturing a regime soldier and destroying regime vehicles.

Separately, opposition fighters trampled on a Russian flag after being lowered in one of the points which the factions advanced into.

According to very reliable SOHR sources, the factions participating in the battle are “the National Liberation Front, Sultan Murad, Thowwar Al-Sham, Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah, Jaysh al-Sharqiyyah and al-Jabha al-Shamiyyah” all operating under the banner of the “National Army”.

In connection to this, factions of the “National Army” targeted Kweires Military Airbase with Grad rockets.
