The regime controls parts of the M5 road within Idlib’s administrative borders, 30 kilometers and 13 villages and towns in Aleppo separate them from controlling the entire road

The regime forces and loyalist continue to advance in the southern countryside of Aleppo near the administrative border with Idlib province, where they were able to control the areas of Tal Tabariz, Aajez, Mahareem, Khawari, Hwair al-Eis, Abad, al-Makhala, and the University of Ebla in the southern countryside of Aleppo, thus, the regime has taken control of the entire Damascus – Aleppo international highway within the administrative borders of Idlib province, which means that only 30 kilometers -which are 13 villages and towns- are still in controlled by the fighters, and separating the regime forces from taking full control of the road.

The M5 road is the longest road in Syria at about 356 km between Damascus and Aleppo.

The regime forces controlled yesterday of al-Qal’ajiyyeh, Khalsa, Zitan, Berna, and Hwair al-Eis in the southern countryside of Aleppo, and they still have few villages before they control the entire Damascus-Aleppo international highway known as the M5.
