Turkish-backed factions launch campaign of raids and inspection arresting nearly 30 civilians in rural Afrin

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Syrian Observatory activists reported that the Turkish-backed factions arrested nearly 30 civilians today in a new campaign of arrests and inspection in Afrin city, and Bulbul and Maabatli townships.

According to very reliable SOHR sources, members of “Ahrar Al-Sharqiyah” arrested three civilians in Hayamu village.

They also raided several houses in Maaratah village. The arrested persons were taken to the factions’ prisons.

On February 7, reliable source informed the Syrian Observatory that gunmen of “Sultan Marad” division carried out a campaign of raids on civilians’ houses in Simalka village in Ma’abatli area of rural Afrin, during which two women from the village were arrested and taken to an unknown destination without revealing the reasons and motives for the arrest.

It is worth mentioning that their husbands were arrested earlier by gunmen of “Sultan Murad” division and they are still in the faction’s prisons.
