Clashes erupt between SDF and Turkish-backed factions in rural Al-Hasakah

SOHR sources reported today that clashes erupted between SDF and Turkish-backed factions, saw the use of heavy machineguns, in frontline areas in Um Al-Kief in Tal Tamr countryside. No information about casualties has been reported so far.

Syrian Observatory activists reported on February 5 that Turkish-backed factions fired several rockets on regime forces’ positions in the area of Abu Rasin and the road between Abu Rasin and Tal Tamr. According to very reliable SOHR sources, a Russian vehicle was damaged as a Russian military patrol coming from Rubay’at was passing near the targeted sites. The shelling also killed and injured many regime soldiers, the sources added.

On February 3, Syrian Observatory activists confirmed that the Turkish-backed factions shelled Um Al-Kief village in the northern countryside of Tal Tamr with artillery. Also the Turkish forces carried intensive rocket shelling targeting the controlled areas of the Syrian regime and Syria Democratic Forces in the vicinity of Ain Issa, north of Al-Raqqah. No information was reported so far about casualties.
