Heavy battles continue southwest of Aleppo, leaving fatalities among regime forces and jihadists, and Russian jets renew airstrikes on Idlib

Activists told SOHR that Russian jets renewed intensive raids on the western outskirts of Idlib city and nearby Sarmin town and the town of Kafrnbel and other places in Idlib, as part of Russian re-escalation on Idlib.

Opposition factions fired several Grad missiles on al-Qardaha area, the hometown of the head of Syrian regime president Bashar al-Assad, while violent clashes continue on the frontlines in western and southwestern rural Aleppo, between opposition factions and jihadist groups on one hand, and regime forces and loyalists on the other, accompanied by exchange of shelling.

The Syrian Observatory documented the killing of 12 members of regime forces and loyalists, on Monday, in shelling and clashes, while 18 members of jihadist groups were killed in the same shelling and clashes.

Since the evening of the 24th of last month, the death toll rises to 438 persons among both sides, who have been killed in aerial and ground bombardments and violent clashes, including ten foreign pro-Iranian militiamen, while the death toll of opposition fighters rises to 493, 366 of whom are members of jihadist groups.
