Turkish forces shoot down regime helicopter in Idlib killing two pilots and weapon specialist
The number of military personnel who were killed in the regime helicopter which was downed with Turkish fire while flying over Qumaynas – Al-Nayrab area, rose to three: a pilot, a co-pilot and a weapon specialist.
SOHR sources reported earlier a helicopter affiliated to the Syrian regime was shot down after being targeted in Qumaynas – Al-Nayrab area in the north-eastern countryside of Idlib. Flames were seen coming out of the helicopter while falling.
No information has been received yet on whether the helicopter was targeted by factions or by Turkish forces stationed there.
On the 14th of August 2019, a Syrian regime jet was shot down on frontlines of Tar’ei – Sukayk in the southern countryside of Idlib after being targeted by the factions. The pilot was captured at that time by HTS members.
The Syrian Observatory reported then that a regime Sukhoi fighter was shot down in the southern countryside of Idlib on frontlines of Tar’ei – Sukayk, and that the pilot was captured by jihadist groups down in the southern countryside of Idlib, after being found in the area between Al-Taman’a and Ta’ara, south of Idlib.
