Nearly 100 airstrikes pound the “de-escalation” zone leaving seven civilians dead, while regime forces send new military reinforcement to Idlib and Aleppo

Syrian Observatory activists documented the death of three civilians in bombardment by Russian jets on Ibbin village in the western countryside of Aleppo. Other four civilians were killed in Russian airstrikes on Kafr Ammah village in the same countryside.

SOHR sources reported seeing regime military reinforcements being sent to both Idlib and Aleppo countryside. Military vehicles and tanks have arrived at the outskirts of Al-Rashideen neighborhood, Halab Al-Jadidah, the east of M5 highway, and the southern countryside of Idlib.

Hours ago, SOHR sources monitored cautious calm prevailing in the four sectors of the “de-escalation” area, after failed attack by opposition factions to recover areas they lost in the western countryside of Aleppo.

Russian jets have been still halting aerial operations for five consecutive hours. However, villages and towns in the western countryside of Aleppo are being shelled sporadically by regime forces.

Meanwhile, the area is witnessing cessation of military operations due to the bad weather and heavy rain.

Syrian Observatory activists reported earlier that a suicide bomber belongs to Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham blew himself up in a booby-trapped vehicle at a gathering of regime forces in Sheikh Ali area in the western countryside of Aleppo. The factions also carried out a counteroffensive on several positions in the western countryside of Aleppo, which are considered as strategic areas through which they provide protection for the international “M5” road and Aleppo – Bab al-Hawa road.

On the other hand, Russian jets executed 97 raids targeting areas in the western countryside of Aleppo and the north-eastern countryside of Idlib.
