Russian air and ground bombardment on western rural Aleppo leaves more than 25 persons killed or wounded, and regime helicopters target areas north of Aleppo

Activists told SOHR that Russian jets carried out a massacre, bombing Ma’rata village near Al-Atareb in western rural Aleppo, killing five civilians, including two children and a woman.

The Syrian Observatory documented the death of a man and a child as a result of a rocket attack carried out by regime forces on Al-Atareb in western rural Aleppo. A displaced woman was also killed in Russian airstrikes on Qabtan al-Jabal in western rural Aleppo during the past hours, while shelling on Ma’rat al-Atareb and Qabtan al-Jabal injured at least 18 people, some in serious condition, which may rise the death toll.

Similarly, Russian jets renewed airstrikes on Idlib province, targeting with several raids areas in Ariha, Harsh Musaybin, Nahlaya and Harsh, in southern sector of the Idlib countryside.

Russian jets continue intensive raids on al-Atareb, Urem l-Kubra, Abyan and other areas in western rural Aleppo, amid continued intense rocket fire on the same areas, while regime helicopters dropped barrel-bombs on Bashmara, Sheikh Aqeel and Al-Tamoura in northern Aleppo countryside.
