Regime forces shell Turkish military post leaving many soldiers injured

Syrian Observatory sources reported that regime forces recently advanced into the north-western countryside of Aleppo shelled the Turkish military post in Sheikh Aqil area with artillery. The shelling injured many Turkish soldiers some of whom are in critical condition.

On the other hand, Russian jets executed several raids on Ariha city and M4 highway bringing the number of today’s airstrikes on Idlib and Aleppo to 97.

For their part, regime jets carried out 80 raids on Aleppo countryside this day.

Over the past few hours, regime forces imposed their control over 32 villages and towns in Aleppo countryside. They also encircled the Turkish observation post in Anadan. Accordingly, regime forces came in control of 113 areas in both southern and western countryside of Aleppo over the past few hours and days.

Observatory activists documented gross human losses in the ranks of both warring forces who have been killed in aerial and ground bombardment and fierce clashes since the 24th of January 2020. 479 jihadis among 634 opposition fighters were killed so far, in addition to the killing of 576 regime soldiers and loyalists of whom there are 18 foreign militiamen loyal to Iran, including four members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
