International Coalition-backed SDF continues large-scale security campaigns against IS cells, east of Deir Ezzor

SOHR activists say that SDF and the International Coalition forces’ large-scale security campaigns continued against the Islamic State cells in eastern sector of Deir ez-Zor countryside.

SDF continued carrying out raids and arrests in Al-Jarzi, Dabian, Al-Hawaij and other places in the area, amid extensive overflights of Coalition aircraft over the area.

According to Observatory sources, two trucks carrying a large number of those who had been arrested were seen being taken to Al-Jafra oilfield.

Yesterday, Syrian Observatory sources said that SDF managed to kill four members of the Islamic State cells, after a raid on a house where members of the group were hiding in al-Jarzi town in eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, where clashes took place between SDF and ISIS members.
