Russian forces set up military post in rural Al-Raqqah

SOHR sources say that 40 Russian military vehicles arrived in “Al-Tarafawi” village, 45 km away from Al-Raqqah city, where they set up a military post.

On January 15, Observatory sources reported seeing a new Russian military column of 42 military and armored vehicles carrying soldiers, heavy military gears and military and logistic supplies, heading to Al-Qamishli city in Al-Hasakah countryside. The column started from Manbij area and passed by Ain Issa and Al-Darbasiyah, before it headed to Al-Qamishli.

A day earlier, reliable sources informed SOHR, that the Russian forces set up a second military post in the vicinity of Abu Rasin town in Al-Hasakah countryside.

According to SOHR sources, Russian forces headed this morning from Al-Qamishli city to Al-Darbasyah, where they roamed in Sherkirak and surrounding areas. Then, they headed to Abu Rasin town and hold on their second military post on which they raised the Russian flag.
