Regime forces shell residential neighborhoods and nearly 225 airstrikes hit the “de-escalation” zone

Regime ground forces fired several artillery shells targeting neighborhoods in Idlib and surrounding areas, leaving many civilians injured.

On the other hand, Russian jets carried out tens of airstrikes targeting Al-Nayrab town, just few hours after Turkish-backed rebel and jihadi factions had recovered the town, bringing the number of today’s airstrikes to 137. The airstrikes pounded areas in countryside of Idlib, Latakia and Hama.

For their part, regime forces executed 87 raids today targeting places in Idlib countryside.

Separately, fierce battles are underway in rural Idlib between regime forces and loyalists on one hand, and rebel and jihadi factions on the other. The factions have held on their positions in Al-Nayrab town and Maarrat Alya, near the M4 highway.

In less than 24 hours, regime forces captured the following 11 areas: (1) Sheikh Damis, (2) Hantutin, (3) Rakaya, (4) Tal Al-Nar, (5) Kafr Sajna, (6) Sheikh Mustafa, (7) Naqir, (8) Satuh Al-Deir, (9) Arinbeh, (10) Um Sir and (11) Maarrat Al-Sin.

Observatory activists documented the killing of nine regime soldiers in Turkish shelling on Saraqeb countryside.

SOHR activists have also documented more fatalities in the ranks of the warring forces in Al-Nayrab town in today’s clashes and bombardment. 11 regime members and loyalists were killed. While 26 rebels and jihadis were also killed, including 21 fighters were killed in Russian aerial bombardment.
