Clashes erupt between former opposition fighters and regime military security members, leaving casualties in western rural Daraa

Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources have reported that clashes erupted between regime military security members on the one hand, and local gunmen who were former fighters in the opposition factions on the other hand, in the town of Saham al-Golan in Al-Yarmouk basin in western countryside of Daraa during the past hours, leaving a member of regime military security dead and several injured.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 316 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 202 persons, 41 of whom are civilians, including four women and three children, in addition to 104 members of regime forces, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

35 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 16 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to six members of so-called “Fifth Corps” established by Russia.
