Rebels and jihadist groups recapture two villages in Sahl Al-Ghab and Jabal al-Zawiya as massive military reinforcement arrives

The Syrian Observatory has monitored large military reinforcement brought by the “National Liberation Front” factions, “Turkistan Islamic Party” and “Ansar Al-Tawhid” jihadist organization to the frontlines of Jabal al-Zawiya in rural Idlib and Sahl Al-Ghab in rural Hama. After reinforcement has arrived, those factions have carried out counter-attacks on regime forces in Sahl Al-Ghab and Jabal Zawiya, and managed to regain control of a village near Kafr Aweid, as well as regaining control of Daqmaq in Sahl Al-Ghab, amid continuing violent clashes with regime forces and loyalists with violent and intensive ground bombardment.

The Syrian Observatory has documented the killing of eight regime soldiers during the takeover of the two villages by opposition factions. While seven fighters among opposition factions and jihadists have been killed in an airstrike on a building where they have stationed in western neighborhood of Saraqeb city, east of Idlib.
