Daraa: attacks and assassination attempts rise to 320 in eight months

Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory has monitored an attack carried out by unidentified gunmen on a checkpoint belonging to Syrian regime airforce intelligence in the town of Al-Msifra in eadtern rural Daraa, where clashes took place with the checkpoint members. No casualties have been reported to date.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 320 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 208 persons, 43 of whom are civilians, including five women and four children, in addition to 108 members of regime forces, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

35 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 16 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to six members of so-called “Fifth Corps” established by Russia.
