The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on the ‎22nd of February that cautious calm is prevailing frontlines in Tal Tamr town, north of Al-Hasakah, after fierce clashes between Turkish-backed factions and regime forces in Dardarah village. The fierce clashes which were accompanied by an exchange of intensive fire between both parties followed an attack by the factions on regime positions in the area. There is confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of the two sides.

On February 20, Observatory sources reported that the Turkish forces and loyal factions fired several artillery shells from their positions in the villages of Dawoudiyyeh and Azizia, targeting the villages of Arisha and Om al-Kief north of Tal Tamr. The shelling caused power outages in Tal Tamr town as the Turkish forces targeted high-voltage power lines in Om al-Kief village.
