Gunmen attack regime checkpoints following regime security campaign in Rif Dimashq

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that clashes erupted between members who reconciled with the regime on one hand, and regime forces on the other, in Kanaker town in Rif Dimashq. The clashes followed regime security campaign in the town led to the arrest of many young people.

Over February 2020, the capital Damascus saw unprecedented security chaos since the Syrian regime recovered the entire city. SOHR activists documented six explosions in Damascus during the period between the 7th and 25th of February. All explosions were caused by detonating IEDs in vehicles, which killed five persons while 15 others sustained various injuries.
