Three “Fatemiyoun” militiamen killed in IED explosion targeting military vehicle in al-Mayadeen desert, east of Deir ez-Zor
SOHR sources say that an improvised explosive device (IED) has exploded targeting a military vehicle belonging to Fatemiyoun militia while passing in al-Mayadeen desert in east of Deir ez-Zor.
The vehicle which was loaded with ammunition and weapons was heading towards the militia positions in the desert. The explosion killed at least three militiamen of Fatemiyoun and seriously injured another.
The death toll since late March 24 to date has risen. The Syrian Observatory documented the death of at least 354 members of regime forces and loyalists of Syrian and non-Syrian citizens, including at least two Russians.
In addition to 67 members of Iranian-backed militias of non-Syrian citizens, all were killed in ISIS attacks, IEDs and ambushes in the western Euphrates, and the desert of Deir ez-Zor, Homs and Sweida.
SOHR also confirmed the death of four civilians working in the gas fields as a result of the group’s attacks, and two shepherds were killed in the group’s attacks,
The Syrian Observatory also documented the death of 119 members of Islamic State, during the same period, in attacks, bombings and targets.
