Nearly 50 regime soldiers, rebels and jihadists killed in intensive Russian and Turkish shelling and during fierce battles in Idlib countryside

SOHR sources say that violent clashes have continued for hours on several frontlines in countryside of Saraqeb city, east of Idlib, between regime forces and loyalists of Syrian and non-Syrian citizens on one side, and opposition factions and jihadist groups on the other, amid continuous intensive bombardment.

Russian airpower has continued to support regime forces with intensive raids, whether in repelling the opposition attack on Tarnaba frontline or paving the way for regime forces to capture the village of Afis and other villages in Jabal al-Zawiya.

On the other hand, Turkish drones and artillery have resumed intensive strikes on regime forces positions.

The Syrian Observatory has documented casualties among the two warring sides due to heavy shelling by land and air and violent battles. At least 21 members of regime forces and loyalists have been killed on Wednesday, 10 of whom were killed in Turkish shelling, while 28 opposition fighters were killed, 18 of whom were jihadists.
