Unknown assailants attack checkpoint of the regime’s “7th Division” in Zakyah in western Al-Ghouta

Rif Dimashq Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: reliable sources have informed SOHR that unknown assailants opened fire on a military checkpoint of the regime’s “7th Division” in Zakyah town in the western Al-Ghouta in Rif Dimashq. No casualties have been reported about.

On March 1, SOHR sources reported hearing loud explosion in Jaramana city in the southern Rif Dimashq. The explosion was caused by detonating an IED, placed in a Pickup military vehicle, near Al-Baladiyah police outpost in Al-Jam’iyaat street. No information has been reported so far about the amount of losses.

Over February 2020, the capital Damascus saw unprecedented security chaos since the Syrian regime recovered the entire city. SOHR activists documented six explosions in Damascus during the period between the 7th and 25th of February. All explosions were caused by detonating IEDs in vehicles, which killed five persons while 15 others sustained various injuries.
