Daraa security vacuum: unknown assailants attack regime positions

Daraa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have monitored clashes between unknown gunmen and members of the “Air-force Intelligence Branch” in Al-Harrak town. No casualties has been reported about.

Separately, regime soldiers and unknown gunmen traded fire following the gunmen’s attack on regime barracks and checkpoint in Tafas city.

The number of attacks and assassination attempts took place in various forms and methods by detonating bombs, mines, booby-trapped cars, and firing with light and medium weapons, since June 2019 until today, rose to more than 330, raising in turn the number of people killed in the same period to 217: 45 civilians including five women and four children, 112 of the regime forces, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services, 35 fighters of the faction who carried out “reconciliation and settlements” and became in the ranks of regime’s security branches, including former commanders, 16 Syrian militiamen affiliated to the Lebanese Hezbollah and Iranian forces, and six members of the so-called 5th Corps which was established by Russia.
