Cautious calm prevails in the “de-escalation” zone as new ceasefire comes into effect

Syrian Observatory activists say that cautious calm is prevailing all sectors of in the “de-escalation” zone after the beginning of new ceasefire at midnight of Friday the 6th of March 2020. This calm was interrupted by artillery shelling by regime forces on positions of the factions in Ibizmu in Aleppo countryside, Sahl Al-Ghab in Hama countryside, and Jabal Al-Zawiyah.

Meanwhile, Russian and regime jets have suspended aerial operations on the “de-escalation” zone. Over the past 24 hours, Russian jets executed 86 airstrikes targeting the countryside of Saraqeb, Ariha, Maarrat Misrin and areas in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in Idlib countryside, and Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama, in addition to eight raids by regime jets on areas in Jabal Al-Zawiyah.
