Cautious calm prevails in the “de-escalation” zone with full suspension of aerial operations

SOHR sources have monitored full suspension of Russian and regime aerial operations in the “de-escalation” zone, as the new ceasefire enters its second consecutive day. Meanwhile, cautious calm has been prevailing the “de-escalation” zone, stretching from the north-eastern mountains of Lattakia, to the north-western suburbs of Aleppo city passing through both Hama and Idlib, since midnight of Friday. This calm was interrupted by clashes between regime forces and jihadi groups, in Al-Mashari’ area in Sahl Al-Ghab, north-west of Hama, with many in the ranks of both sides confirmed dead.

Over the first day of the new ceasefire, SOHR sources reported that Cautious calm was prevailing the area interrupted by clashes with machineguns erupted between regime forces and opposition factions, in Fulayfel area in the southern countryside of Idlib. These clashes lasted for a few minutes.

Earlier this morning, SOHR activists documented human losses in attacks and clashes between regime forces and jihadist groups, on frontlines in Jabal al-Zawiya. Six regime soldiers and loyalists have been killed, in addition to the killing of at least nine members of “Turkistan Islamic Party”.
