Ceasefire agreement 40 hours on: tense calm prevails throughout the “de-escalation” zone

Activists have confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that tense calm, in terms of aerial and ground bombardment and clashes, has been still prevailing in the entire area of “Putin – Erdogan”, for the second consecutive day since Russia – Turkey ceasefire came into effect in the area.

Hours ago, SOHR sources reported seeing Russian jets fly over Idlib and Aleppo at noon.

“Two Russian jets flew over the western countryside of Aleppo and the north Idlib countryside without carrying out any strikes” the sources added.

Meanwhile, cautious calm has been prevailing throughout area of “Putin – Erdogan”.

Earlier this morning, SOHR sources monitored full suspension of Russian and regime aerial operations in the “de-escalation” zone, as the new ceasefire enters its second consecutive day. This calm was interrupted by clashes between regime forces and jihadi groups, in Al-Mashari’ area in Sahl Al-Ghab, north-west of Hama, with many in the ranks of both sides confirmed dead or wounded.
