Violent clashes erupt between “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” and “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” at Tal Abyad border crossing with Turkey

Reliable source have informed SOHR that violent clashes broke out between the two factions of “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” and “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya”. The clashes have erupted after an attack by “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” on “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” positions stationed at the border crossing with Turkey in Tal Abyad city in northern countryside of Raqqa. Casualties have been reported among both sides.

On March 5, SOHR sources reported that clashes with machine guns took place in the village of Kafifa in western countryside of Tal Abyad, which is controlled by Turkish_backed factions.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, clashes erupted between “Al-Majd Corps” and the “Northern Brigade”, following a dispute between them over sharing of stolen goods “spoils”.

The clashes left six members of those factions dead, while Turkish forces intervened to break up the clashes.
