Mines and the remnants of war continue to claim Syrian lives… SDF member die north of al-Raqqah

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored today the explosion of an old mine in a car of the Syria Democratic Forces, in Qazali village in the western countryside of Tal Abyad, killing one member and injuring others.

The Syrian Observatory has documented since January 2019 to date some 245 fatalities, including 65 women and 68 children. Of the total number, the Syrian Observatory documented the deaths of 44 people, including 30 women and five children, in their search and collect for “Syrian wild truffles”, which put their lives at risk, “Syrian wild truffles” grow in areas that are exposed to heavy rains and are sold at high prices.
