Regime Republican Guard forces arrest nearly ten persons of former medical teams in Eastern Ghouta

Rif Dimashq Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: local sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that a group of the Republican Guard forces arrested nine young people from Ain Tarma, Zamalka and Arbin, after a thorough inspection of their houses. The arrested people used to be part of former medical crews in field clinics during the factions’ control on the Eastern Ghouta.

SOHR sources reported hours ago that regime intelligence services carried out several campaigns of raids and arrests over the recent week, in different areas in the Eastern Ghouta. During these campaigns, the regime intelligence arrested more than 20 young men, including former opposition  fighters who had settled their security situation with the Syrian regime.

According to SOHR sources, checkpoints of the “Air-Force Intelligence” nearby Hazza town arrested six young men from the town and took them to unknown destination.

In Jisrayn town, makeshift checkpoints affiliated to regime intelligence were deployed in the town’s neighborhoods in which more than ten young men, most of whom were former fighters in opposition factions that struck reconciliation deals with regime forces, were arrested.

Meanwhile, regime intelligence raided several shops in Al-Qawitly street and Khourshid in Douma city center where they arrested several people from the city, some of whom had settled their security situations with the regime after opposition factions had left the area.
