Cautious calm prevails in the “de-escalation” zone as new ceasefire enters its seventh day

SOHR sources say that tense calm has been prevailing in the are of “Putin – Erdogan”, stretching from the north-eastern mountains of Lattakia, to the north-western suburbs of Aleppo city passing through both Hama and Idlib, for the first nine hours of the new ceasefire’s seventh consecutive day. While aerial operations are suspended completely.

On Tuesday, Observatory activists said that regime forces lifted soil barriers near the junction in Kafrya village, which were put on Aleppo – Latakia international highway (M4) in 2012, clearing the way for running Turkey – Russia patrols and opening the highway towards Aleppo. Other soil barriers blocking the highway, are being lift clearing the way towards Ain Al-Hur in Latakia countryside near the administrative border with Idlib.
