Car-bomb explodes at checkpoint of the National Army in Ras Al-Ain countryside leaving many dead or injured.

Al-Hasakah Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have reported hearing loud explosion in Ras Al-Ain countryside, north of Al-Hasakah. The explosion was caused by detonating a car-bomb at a checkpoint affiliated to opposition factions of the Turkish-backed National Army, in Tal Halaf town in Ras Al-Ain countryside. The attack resulted in the killing of two fighters of the Turkish-backed factions, while eight others sustained injuries.

On January 17, activists told SOHR that a car-bomb exploded near the headquarters of the Turkish-backed “Al-Rahman Corps” in Hawysh Al-Nasser village in Ras Al-Ain countryside. No casualties were reported.
